About Us
Grip is more than a glove—it’s a message. A message to the ballplayer who stays after practice, who gets up early with intent, who works when no one’s watching. It’s for the athlete who plays with pride, discipline, and drive—no matter their age or level.
Founded by former player Edgar Michelangeli, Grip was born from firsthand experience both on the field and in the world of manufacturing. After years around the game, one thing became clear: players deserve gear that reflects their work ethic. Not just in how it performs, but in how it looks, how it feels, and what it represents. That’s what Grip is about—providing quality equipment that gives players confidence and reminds them why they love the game.
Our mission is to design and deliver premium batting gloves and accessories for the next generation of athletes. We want Grip to be part of the journey that keeps kids excited to suit up, step into the box, and just keep swinging for the fences.
We obsess over details. From sourcing high-quality cabretta leather to creating styles that stand out while staying clean and intentional, everything we produce is made to support the athlete—physically and mentally. When a player puts on a pair of Grip gloves, they should feel locked in, confident, and proud of what they’re wearing.
But this isn’t about flashy gear for the sake of attention. It’s about gear that matches the mindset—hardworking, focused, consistent, and ready for the moment. That’s why we created the Day One’s Series: a tribute to the players who stay committed to the process from the start. The ones who show up, who grind, who carry themselves with poised confidence and bold intent.
This is Grip. Built for the ones who never stop showing up.
